By use of the client's archive photographs of the Arboretum, we have cleared invasive species which crept in during the years of neglect, retained the good specimens, and commenced replanting.
There are two areas of interest.
The first area is a planting of native trees from the United States of America, Cananda and Mexico, which were used by the native population for medicinal purposes. Trees have been planted in such a way as to follow the journey from Canada in the north to Mexico in the South.
The second area is a collection of trees which records show, once grew on this site and were planted by the first owner. The project is ongoing.
It is eventually envisaged that the whole area will be laid to grass and wild flowers which flourish locally.
